Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2026 runs 28 August to 6 September 2026 at Messe Düsseldorf, with 28 August as Preview Day. This is the 65th edition, billed as the world's largest trade fair for motorhomes and caravans: 750+ exhibitors across 15 halls plus the open-air area.

Doors are open daily 10:00–18:00, and tickets are sold exclusively online. Below: what each ticket type costs, which halls are worth your legs, and a realistic read on crowding.

Ten days sounds generous until you realise it includes two weekends. If you have flexibility, that's the single biggest lever you have over both price and crowding.

Reduced rates apply to groups such as students and pupils, ADAC members, and Club CARAVAN SALON & boot members.

Cheapest genuine option: the €12 weekday afternoon ticket from 14:00. You get four hours, which is enough for a focused visit to two or three halls — and not enough to walk the whole fair. Be honest with yourself about which trip you're taking.

Preview Day isn't trade-only — it's open to anyone who buys a ticket. What you're paying for is a limited ticket count, which means noticeably emptier halls on the day the vehicles are freshest and staff are least worn down.

It's worth €39 if you're actually shopping — comparing layouts, sitting in vehicles, talking specifics with sales staff without a queue behind you. It's poor value if you're browsing for fun, because you'll pay double for the same show a regular weekday ticket buys.

Halls in use for 2026 are 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.0, 7a, 10–17, plus the open-air area. Hall 9 is unavailable — it's still being modernised — so don't plan around old floor plans.

Practical routing: if you're vehicle shopping, start in the hall matching your budget tier and work outward. Starting in accessories halls is how people run out of energy before they see a single motorhome.

Two additions are real and not just marketing: the roof tent section in Hall 7a and the off-road section in Halls 16 and 17. Both track where demand has actually moved — smaller, cheaper, more rugged setups rather than only large motorhomes.

The B2B conference programme has also been tightened for trade visitors, and the fair is running under the motto that it "opens up new worlds." Treat the motto as branding; treat the new hall sections as the substance.

Use last year's numbers as your planning baseline: the 2025 edition drew about 270,000 visitors from more than 80 countries, with roughly 810 exhibitors from over 40 nations across roughly 250,000 m² of exhibition space.

Spread over ten days that averages around 27,000 people a day — but it does not arrive evenly. Weekends and the closing days are heaviest. If your goal is talking to sales staff rather than queueing behind families, aim for a weekday, ideally not the first or last.
